This "Sanmarga Gurukulam" was founded by Thavamiku Kulapati Kuppusamy of keeranur on May 20, 1951 in a thatched shed built on the Perumal Koil lands, with two orphan children. Mrs.Krishnammal Jaganathan B.A.B.T., from Gandhigram (Dindigul) lit the "Kuthuvilaku" and opened the institution.

By 1953, the Gurukulam attracted 20 children and continuing at the same place became a constraint due to some caste and creed followers. They emit our children when our founder gone for fund mobilizing.

Later by seeing the plight of the children, Mr. C.A.V.Abdul Wahab Rowther, kind hearted soul of Keeranur village, dined and accommodated our children until our founder reaches the place.
